Certified Naturally Grown (more info)

We have been growing vegetables organically for the last 15 years and, for the last few years, have been selling our surplus in the Hoschton Farmers Market. I am raising two grandchildren and our garden is a family affair.

Each year we have expanded the garden and it now encompasses about 1/8 of an acre. I am a firm believer in raised beds and growing organic heritage vegetables. The newer hybrid vegetables just don’t have the taste heritage vegetables do.

We use horse manure, lime, epson salts, and compost in our garden and use soapy water and hand picking to control bugs. If the plants get too buggy we pull and burn them.

We have been Certified Naturally Grown for almost a year now and are looking forward to our next inspection in a few weeks.
